Paul Katuramu

Paul Katuramu is a Partner at K&K Advocates and heads the firm's Business Development function. A senior member of the Transactions and Advisory team with nearly two decades of experience, he specialises in Corporate & Commercial Transactions, Banking & Finance, Telecommunications Infrastructure, Property Law & Conveyancing, and Corporate Advisory. Paul brings a distinctive blend of private practice, senior in-house leadership, and commercial acumen, a combination that uniquely positions him to understand clients' commercial realities and deliver legal solutions that work in practice.

Banking, Finance & Infrastructure

Paul regularly advises leading financial institutions on financing and securitisation transactions, both local and cross-border. He has supported clients through the structuring, negotiation, and execution of projects in the energy, telecommunications, and transport sectors, working alongside public and private sector players.

Telecommunications

Paul has developed particular expertise in the telecommunications sector, having acted for the industry regulator and leading industry players including the American Tower Corporation, where he previously served as Head of Asset Management. His practice covers regulatory compliance, site acquisitions, licensing, transaction documentation, and sector-specific advisory work.

Business Development & Client Engagement

Paul currently represents the firm on various boards, bringing strategic legal insight into the boardroom and helping companies navigate governance, regulatory compliance, and long-term strategic planning. In his business development role, he oversees the full spectrum of client engagement, from building new client relationships to delivering value-added services and cultivating long-term retention. His philosophy: sound legal counsel must begin with a thorough appreciation of a client's industry, business objectives, and operational context.
