Richard Bibangambah is a Senior Associate at K&K Advocates and a leading member of the firm's Litigation Team and Commercial and Tax Law practice. He holds a Master's degree in International Tax from King's College London. Richard advises clients on complex commercial disputes, tax and regulatory matters, bringing a rigorous and analytically precise approach to a practice that spans tax advisory, commercial litigation and international arbitration.
Richard is an established tax practitioner with significant experience appearing before the Tax Appeals Tribunal, successfully representing multinational corporations and private clients in high-value tax disputes. He advises foreign clients on tax issues arising from the establishment of operations in Uganda - particularly in major infrastructure and energy projects - drawing on deep familiarity with Uganda's fiscal framework to support stable, workable tax structures.
Richard has substantial experience before specialist public tribunals, including the Electricity Disputes Tribunal and the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Appeals Tribunal. He complements this with international arbitration experience, having represented the railway statutory corporation in arbitration under the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA).
