Tendo Lubwama is an Associate at K&K Advocates whose practice is shaped by an uncommon combination: rigorous legal training and hands-on finance experience. Before joining the firm, he worked as a Financial and Corporate Advisory Analyst at African Alliance Uganda Limited - a background that gives him a commercially grounded, implementation-focused approach that clients in complex transactions consistently find valuable.

Energy, Infrastructure & Commercial Transactions

Tendo advises across the full oil and gas value chain - from upstream exploration and production through to midstream and downstream operations - as well as on energy financing, infrastructure projects, and major commercial transactions in Uganda. His work includes the drafting and negotiation of production sharing agreements, petroleum supply and crude oil marketing agreements, implementation agreements, and EPC contracts, with particular attention to local content requirements, licensing, and sector-specific regulatory frameworks.

Beyond energy, he advises on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, compliance, and the full range of banking and finance matters, bringing careful due diligence and contract analysis to each mandate.

Dispute Resolution

Tendo has substantial litigation and arbitration experience, having appeared before the High Court and superior appellate courts in Uganda. He has developed focused arbitration expertise, successfully representing clients in applications to enforce arbitral awards, obtain interim relief prior to arbitration, and to set aside awards where grounds exist.
